CM Mourns Death of Students in Patiala Road Tragedy

CHANDIGARH, May 7 — Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday expressed profound grief over the tragic road accident on the Samana-Patiala road that killed five school children and their driver.

Calling the incident deeply distressing, Mann extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for strength to help them endure this irreplaceable loss.

“This is a heartbreaking moment for all of us,” he said.

“The loss of young lives is an unbearable tragedy.”

The Chief Minister also informed that eight other students injured in the mishap are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals in Patiala. “I am in constant touch with the district administration,” he said.

“They have been directed to provide the best possible medical care to the injured.”

Mann also assured that every effort would be made to support the families affected by the accident and said the state stands with them in this hour of grief.
