Gurugram, Jan 26: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini lauded the state’s progress in manufacturing and social welfare during the 77th Republic Day celebrations held at Gurugram’s Tau Devi Lal Stadium. The event featured a traditional flag hoisting ceremony and a parade that showcased the state’s disciplined security forces.
The Chief Minister spoke about the integration of state and central policies, specifically referencing new programs aimed at the working class. He noted that the state is actively working toward the national goal of a self-sufficient economy.
“Through this scheme, important steps have been taken for the upliftment of workers,” Saini said while discussing the Ji Ramji initiative.
In his remarks, the Chief Minister noted that the state’s performance in various development categories has placed it at the forefront of Northern India. He linked this success to a focus on indigenous production and the empowerment of the younger generation.
“Our Prime Minister has launched the Ji Ramji scheme,” the Chief Minister said. “The state government is committed to realizing the vision of a self-reliant India.”
Local administration implemented a heavy security presence to manage the large crowds in Gurugram. Police officials confirmed that drones were used to monitor the stadium perimeters while thousands of officers were stationed at 52 nakas across the district.
Celebrations extended beyond Gurugram, with cabinet ministers leading ceremonies in other districts. In Yamunanagar, Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister Anil Vij hoisted the tricolor, echoing the state’s message of pride and industrial growth.
