Gorakhpur, June 18: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday pledged full financial support to patients suffering from serious ailments who lack Ayushman Bharat health cards, directing officials to facilitate treatment through the CM’s Discretionary Fund.
During a Janata Darshan at the Gorakhnath Temple, CM Yogi instructed authorities to prepare cost estimates for such patients to ensure immediate aid. “No treatment should be delayed for want of money,” he asserted, urging officials to expedite issuance of Ayushman cards to all eligible individuals.
He also heard over 200 public grievances, passing them on to concerned officials with orders for timely redressal.
Later, reviewing civic preparedness after pre-monsoon showers, CM Yogi pulled up the municipal body over waterlogging and delays in the Gordhiya Drain project, and directed focused attention on cleanliness and drainage.
He also reviewed development work under GIDA, GDA, and the Heritage Corridor, warning officials to remain alert to encroachments, roadside slums, and to verify street vendors to ensure traffic flow and law enforcement.
