CM Yogi Takes Holy Dip in Triveni Sangam

Prayagraj, January 22, 2025: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, accompanied by his cabinet, participated in the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Along with 54 ministers, CM Yogi performed rituals and took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam.

The Chief Minister, joined by Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, conducted a special cabinet meeting during the event.

Announcing key developments, Yogi revealed plans for a new religious circuit, integrating Prayagraj, Kashi, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, and Bhadohi districts. “This initiative will promote spiritual tourism across Uttar Pradesh,” Yogi stated.

Infrastructure upgrades were also highlighted, including the connection of Bundelkhand Expressway with Ganga Expressway and the construction of a six-lane bridge on the Ganga river.

A four-lane bridge will link Prayagraj with Jhusi, and a new bridge at Arail has been approved.

The Mahakumbh Mela, currently in its tenth day, has already drawn over 9.5 crore devotees to Prayagraj, with 30.47 lakh participating in rituals by noon today. Chief Minister Yogi also fed Siberian birds and fish during his visit, symbolizing harmony with nature.
