BENGALURU, October 1 — Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has been admitted to MS Ramaiah Hospital after developing a fever, party sources said on Wednesday.
The 83-year-old leader, who also serves as Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after he complained of leg pain along with fever, according to a Congress functionary.
“He is fine, nothing to worry. Doctors are monitoring,” the leader told PTI.
Hospital authorities said Kharge is under observation and receiving treatment, though his condition remains stable.
