LUDHIANA, May 29 – The Congress put up a strong and united front in Ludhiana West ahead of party candidate Bharat Bhushan Ashu’s nomination filing, signalling intent to reclaim the seat lost in 2022.

A high-powered gathering of leaders, including Punjab in-charge Bhupesh Baghel, former CM Charanjit Singh Channi, PCC chief Raja Warring, Amethi MP Kishori Lal Sharma, and several MPs and MLAs, marked the occasion. Their presence, party insiders said, gave a morale boost to grassroots workers.

Addressing the crowd, Baghel declared, “The writing is on the wall. With such massive worker participation, Congress will win this seat with a record margin.”

Warring, in his address, urged party workers to treat the election as their own. “Each one of you is going to be the MLA,” he said, calling for total commitment to ensure victory.

Ashu, thanking the leadership for their support, took a sharp dig at rivals. “Our president is standing with us. Where are the state presidents of AAP and BJP?” he asked, drawing applause.

The united show of strength has instilled fresh confidence in the Congress camp, with leaders and workers alike hopeful of reclaiming Ludhiana West, a seat the party lost in the 2022 Assembly polls.
