Chandigarh, February 28, 2026: Punjab Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat on Friday described the court’s judgment acquitting AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia as a significant victory for truth and democratic values. In a statement issued here, the Minister affirmed that the judicial outcome in the excise policy case has proved that the allegations leveled against the party leadership were entirely false.
The Minister maintained that the court’s decision has strengthened the faith of the common people in the judiciary. He noted that while several attempts were made to tarnish the image of the democratically elected leadership, the truth has ultimately emerged through the due judicial process. Bhagat stated that the acquittal serves as a reminder that justice prevails even when faced with significant political challenges.
