Dharamshala, 7 January 2025: The Dalai Lama expressed deep sorrow over the earthquake that struck Dingri in Tibet, causing significant loss of life, injuries, and extensive property damage.
In a message shared on his official website, the Tibetan spiritual leader conveyed his heartfelt condolences to those impacted by the disaster. “I am deeply saddened to learn of the devastating earthquake that struck Dingri in Tibet and surrounding regions,” he stated. “It has resulted in the tragic loss of many lives, numerous injuries, and extensive destruction to homes and property.”
The Dalai Lama offered prayers for the deceased and wished a swift recovery for the injured. His message underscored the compassion central to his leadership, as he extended support to the affected communities during this difficult time.
The Central Tibetan Administration released a statement reiterating solidarity with the victims and acknowledging the Dalai Lama’s message as a source of comfort for those coping with the aftermath of the tragedy.
