Jalandhar, 9 January 2025: Harsirat Kaur, a third-grade student from DAV School, has brought pride to her city by winning the Junior Miss India title. The competition, open to children aged 8 to 10 from across the country, concluded this year with Harsirat securing the top spot.
According to the organizers, Priyansha Chahande from Gujarat was the runner-up, while Sanam Karali from Sundargarh placed third.
Harsirat’s parents expressed their joy over her achievement, emphasizing her dedication. “Balancing academics with her modeling journey was not easy,” said her mother, Neelu. “But her hard work and focus paid off, and she achieved her goal.”
Her father, Gur Iqbal Singh, noted her dual aspirations. “Harsirat dreams of becoming both a doctor and a model. She never gives up, and this award is a testament to her determination.”
The journey to success was not without challenges. Although she auditioned for Junior Miss World in 2023, she was not selected. Undeterred, Harsirat participated in auditions held in Ludhiana, Punjab, in August 2024, and ultimately claimed victory in the finals this year.
The young achiever’s win has not only earned her accolades but also set a shining example for her peers, proving that with perseverance and support, dreams can become reality.
