New Delhi, 21 February 2025— Police have arrested Zoya Khan, known as the ‘Lady Don’ of Delhi, with 270 gm of heroin valued at around Rs 1 crore in the international market. The 33-year-old, wife of jailed gangster Hashim Baba, was caught in northeast Delhi’s Welcome area, officials said.
The heroin was allegedly sourced from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh.
Police acted on a tip-off about an unknown individual delivering drugs to Zoya. She had long been on their radar but had evaded arrest due to the lack of direct evidence linking her to illegal activities.
Zoya reportedly managed her husband’s criminal network while he remained behind bars.
Hashim Baba, who has been in jail since last year for his alleged involvement in the murder of a gym owner in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash, faces multiple charges, including murder, extortion, and arms smuggling.
“She was instrumental in running the gang’s operations,” an officer said, adding that investigators had suspected her involvement but struggled to build a strong case.
Zoya, Hashim’s third wife, married him in 2017 after divorcing her first husband. The two, once neighbors in northeast Delhi, had fallen in love before she became deeply involved in his underworld dealings.
