Patiala, October 8: Desh Bhagat University (NAAC Grade A+) has expanded its global footprint by establishing the Desh Bhagat University Americas School of Medicine in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, North America, offering MBBS programs designed to provide students with internationally recognized medical education and clinical training opportunities abroad.
Announcing the development at a press interaction on Tuesday, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, said the overseas expansion reflects the institution’s growing commitment to medical education and international collaboration. “Students who enroll in our St. Vincent campus will have the chance to undertake clinical rotations in the United States, gaining invaluable exposure to the U.S. healthcare system,” he said.
Dr. Sadawarti noted that the Desh Bhagat University Americas School of Medicine (DBUA) is accredited and recognized by relevant global authorities, ensuring that the program meets high academic and professional standards required for future medical practice. “Our curriculum is aligned with international benchmarks and prepares students for key examinations such as the USMLE,” he added.
He further mentioned that the university’s approach combines affordability with quality. “Compared to medical schools in many other countries, our tuition structure is more accessible, allowing students from diverse backgrounds to pursue their dream of becoming doctors,” he said.
According to the Vice Chancellor, the new campus features state-of-the-art infrastructure, advanced laboratories, and modern classrooms designed to create an ideal learning environment. “We also provide dedicated support for USMLE preparation, giving our students a competitive edge if they wish to practice in the United States,” Dr. Sadawarti said. He noted that graduates from DBUA would have career opportunities not only in St. Vincent and the Grenadines but also in the U.S. and other international destinations.
Er. Arun Malik, Director of Operations at DBUA, said the initiative was part of Desh Bhagat University’s broader vision to strengthen healthcare education and build a generation of competent medical professionals. “Our goal is to produce doctors who not only excel in their individual careers but also contribute meaningfully to global healthcare systems,” he said.
Malik added that the institution’s advanced facilities and comprehensive teaching approach distinguish it from others. “Desh Bhagat University has built a strong reputation for academic excellence and modern infrastructure. The same commitment to quality will define our new campus as well,” he said, noting that the university remains focused on delivering a robust and internationally relevant medical education.
With this expansion, Desh Bhagat University has taken a decisive step toward becoming a global education hub, creating new pathways for Indian and international students seeking medical training that combines global exposure with strong academic grounding.
