Mumbai, Dec 12: Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar crossed the ₹200-crore mark within seven days of release, delivering one of the strongest first-week box office runs of the year. The film, which opened in theatres on December 5, earned an estimated ₹27 crore on December 11, taking its total to ₹207.25 crore, according to early figures from Sacnilk.

The film posted a robust opening weekend of ₹103 crore. It began with ₹28 crore on Friday, climbed to ₹32 crore on Saturday and surged to ₹43 crore on Sunday, outperforming initial trade projections.

Weekday earnings held steady, a sign of strong audience word-of-mouth. Monday brought in ₹23.25 crore, while Tuesday added ₹27 crore, pushing the total past ₹150 crore. The film continued its run with another ₹27 crore on both Wednesday and Thursday, ending its first week above the ₹200-crore mark.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said the film’s momentum reflects its broad appeal. “Numbers speak louder than words. Dhurandhar is a box office monster,” he wrote on Thursday. “Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday clearly point towards a blockbuster run. Had the content not connected, the numbers would’ve collapsed after the weekend.”

Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi. The makers have announced that a sequel is scheduled to release on March 19, 2026.
