Ambala, Feb 17: Haryana Minister Anil Vij is recovering at home after sustaining fractures in both feet due to a fall at his house. The injury, which affects the ankle area of both legs, has necessitated the application of plaster casts and a temporary shift in his working arrangements.
The minister intends to remain active in his administrative role throughout his convalescence. Sources close to the leader affirmed that he would facilitate critical government discussions and oversee his departments from his residence to ensure that state work remains on track.
The incident mirrors a previous injury in 2025, when Vij continued his duties despite a fractured toe. At that time, the minister attended various public events and meetings without realizing the severity of the condition.
“The fracture was confirmed only after persistent pain and swelling prompted him to undergo an X-ray examination,” a representative declared, noting the minister’s history of working through physical discomfort.
While medical experts have recommended complete rest for the ankles to heal, the minister has stated his intention to remain engaged with his staff. He is expected to utilize his home office for the duration of his treatment.
Government officials noted that the minister’s recovery would be monitored closely. They declared that his commitment to his cabinet duties remains firm despite the double fracture.
