Chandigarh, October 15, 2024: BREAKING NEWS- The Election Commission announced on Tuesday that Maharashtra will hold its Assembly elections in a single phase on November 20, while Jharkhand will conduct its polls in two phases on November 13 and 20.
The counting of votes for both states is scheduled for November 23. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar stated that Maharashtra has approximately 9.63 crore eligible voters, whereas Jharkhand has about 2.6 crore eligible voters.
Moreover, by-elections for 47 Assembly seats and the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat will take place on November 13.
