New Delhi, April 15 — The Enforcement Directorate has filed a chargesheet against Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and others in connection with the National Herald case, accusing them of money laundering.
The chargesheet, submitted on April 9, was taken up by Special Judge Vishal Gogne, who deferred consideration of cognisance to April 25. Along with Sonia and Rahul, the ED has named senior Congress figures Sam Pitroda and Suman Dubey as co-accused.
“The present prosecution complaint shall next be taken up for consideration on the aspect of cognisance before this court on April 25,” the court noted, directing the ED’s special counsel and investigating officer to produce the case diaries for examination.
