Jalandhar/Ludhiana: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids on Monday at the premises of AAP MP Sanjeev Arora and others, including realtors and investors, as part of a money laundering investigation tied to a land fraud case.

According to ED sources, the probe into Arora’s case began before he became an MP, as the alleged violations occurred prior to his election.

Arora’s company, Ritesh Properties and Industries Ltd (RPIL), was allotted an industrial plot in Ludhiana by the state government, which he allegedly misused by developing commercial and residential projects in violation of the allotment terms, according to ED.

Raids were also carried out at the properties of Hemant Sood and Chander Aggarwal, both directors of the company, in Ludhiana and Jalandhar, respectively.

Another suspect, Pardeep Aggarwal of Royal Industries in Ludhiana, is also under investigation, with his premises being searched.
