New Delhi, June 8 — BJP MP and All-Party Delegation member Daggubati Purandeswari said Sunday that multiple European nations have expressed clear support for India’s position on terrorism, following meetings held during a recent six-nation tour.

Speaking to ANI upon arrival at Delhi airport, Purandeswari said the delegation, led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, presented concrete evidence of the terrorism India has endured, which was acknowledged by foreign officials and lawmakers.

“We have spoken to government officials, parliamentarians, and even members of the Indian diaspora across six European countries,” she said. “After reviewing the evidence, they assured us of their full support in India’s fight against terrorism.”

The visit comes amid heightened international concern over recent terror incidents, including the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which drew strong condemnation from global partners.

The Indian Embassy in Germany noted that the delegation’s engagements strongly reinforced India’s principled stance. “India’s firm and principled position against terrorism found resonance across the top political leadership, decision-makers and think-tanks—reinforcing depth of the India-Germany Strategic Partnership,” the embassy said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

During the tour, the delegation held key meetings in Germany and other European capitals, focusing on counter-terror cooperation and strategic dialogue.

Omid Nouripour, Vice President of the German Bundestag, met the delegation in Berlin. He remarked: “India is the country on earth, for the last decades, which has been most affected by terror attacks. We have to stand at the side of the people in India and help—without any escalation—so the country remains safe.”

The delegation’s diplomatic outreach comes as part of a broader effort to internationalize India’s concerns over cross-border terrorism and bolster global cooperation in combating extremist threats.

Delegation leader Ravi Shankar Prasad earlier stated that the goal of the mission was to present India’s case with “facts, figures and undeniable evidence” to ensure the international community understands the scale and impact of terrorism on the country.

The six-nation visit was part of the Group-2 All-Party Parliamentary outreach, aiming to unify India’s democratic voice and build bipartisan support abroad for global counterterrorism efforts.
