Mohali, Aug 21 — After an eight-year hiatus, the Filmfare Punjabi Awards are set to make a grand comeback, this time at Punjab’s biggest venue — the PCA Stadium, Mohali, with a capacity of 30,000. Organisers said the 2025 edition will be one of the largest live entertainment events the state has ever hosted.

In a high-level coordination meeting, the Deputy Commissioner, Senior Superintendent of Police, Municipal Commissioner, PCA administration, and organisers reviewed security and logistical arrangements. The meeting was attended by Abhishek Singh, CMD of Force of Talent and official curator of Filmfare Punjabi, along with Ashwini Chatley of Bhutani Group, the title sponsor.

Spectacle in the making

The show promises a record-breaking production setup, with organisers planning one of the biggest stages ever seen in India. A total of 132 JBL speakers will be installed, while global audio leader Harman Kardon is flying in its leadership team to witness the spectacle.

Star-studded night

The lineup includes performances by Honey Singh, Satinder Sartaaj, Shehnaz Gill, Jacqueline Fernandez, Neeru Bajwa, Himanshu Khurana and Soundarya Sharma, among others. “This is not just an award show, but a celebration of Punjabi cinema and music at a scale never witnessed before,” organisers said.

Filmfare Punjabi last held its edition in 2017. The revival in 2025 at PCA Stadium marks a new chapter, blending Punjabi stardom with international-standard production.
