Patna, Sept 30 — The Election Commission on Tuesday issued the final electoral roll for Bihar, completing the process of special intensive revision ahead of the upcoming assembly polls.
The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Bihar confirmed the publication through a social media post, which was also tagged to the Election Commission of India. “In the light of Special Intensive Revision, the final electoral roll has been published on 30.09.2025. People can look up their names by clicking on the link — voters.eci.gov.in,” the post read.
The announcement followed months of scrutiny, during which claims and objections to the draft lists were addressed. These draft rolls had been made public earlier this year as part of the revision exercise.
However, the CEO’s statement did not provide further details about the final number of voters enrolled in Bihar or the changes compared with the draft roll.
The release of the updated electoral roll comes as the state prepares for assembly elections, with officials noting that the exercise ensures that eligible citizens can confirm their names and voting rights before polling begins.
