Greater Noida West, 26 December 2024: A sudden fire broke out at Swastham Hospital near Delhi, engulfing its first floor and several parked vehicles, creating panic in the area. Videos circulating on social media show intense flames outside the hospital, with vehicles burning as bystanders and hospital staff worked to extinguish the blaze.
Hospital staff, joined by local residents, quickly intervened to control the fire, which spread rapidly. The situation heightened concerns as a play school situated next to the hospital was also at risk. Thankfully, firefighters managed to contain the blaze, ensuring the children were safely evacuated, avoiding what could have been a major tragedy.
The cause of the fire remains unclear. A transformer near the hospital has raised speculation over potential electrical negligence, but authorities are investigating whether the blaze resulted from an accident or oversight.
While the flames are now under control, relief operations are ongoing, with local officials assessing the damages and ensuring safety protocols in the vicinity.
