JHAJJAR, Haryana, Dec 16— Three buses collided at Kulana Chowk in Jhajjar district on Sunday morning after dense fog reduced visibility, leaving one driver seriously injured, police said.
The accident occurred when a truck was allegedly stationary in the middle of the road, forcing the lead bus to brake suddenly, triggering a chain collision, officials said.
“The first bus, which was coming from Khatusham, suffered the maximum damage. Two local buses were following it,” said the station house officer of Machrauli police station. “The driver told us that a truck was standing in the middle of the road, and because of heavy fog, he could not see it in time.”
The driver of the first bus sustained a serious leg injury and was referred to PGI Rohtak for further treatment, the SHO said.
Police said no fatalities were reported. Traffic movement at the junction was briefly affected before vehicles were cleared from the road.
Authorities have advised motorists to drive cautiously and maintain safe distances during foggy weather.
