Four Punjabis Among 12 Deported from Panama Return Home

Amritsar, 24 February — A flight carrying four Punjabis deported from Panama landed at Amritsar’s Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport this evening. They were among 12 individuals sent back to India after being expelled by the United States.

The group first arrived at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Sunday before being transported to Amritsar.

The four Punjabis were identified as Jatinder Singh of Nabha in Patiala, Maninder Dutt from Jalandhar, and Jugraj Singh and Harpreet Singh from Batala.

A senior police official stated that the deportees traveled from Panama to New Delhi via Istanbul on a Turkish Airlines flight. Upon reaching Amritsar, local police personnel received them and later sent them to their respective homes.

Among the remaining deportees, three were from Haryana, and three from Uttar Pradesh.
