A video of these two Indian players is going viral on social media, claiming that everything is not going well between Gill and Pandya. The IPL 2025 eliminator match was played between Mumbai and Gujarat on Friday, in which the Hardik-led team won.
Hardik did not shake hands with Gill
The viral video on social media claimed that Gill and Hardik did not shake hands with each other after the toss, after which it became a matter of debate among the fans that some kind of confrontation is going on between these two players. However, Gill has dismissed all these discussions and shared his photo with Hardik on Instagram story. Gill shared a photo with Hardik and wrote, ‘Nothing just love. Don’t believe what is going on on the internet.’ Gill has also tagged Hardik in this story.
Celebrated aggressively after Gill was out
The news of a clash between Hardik and Gill gained strength when Hardik celebrated aggressively after the Gujarat captain was out. Gill was dismissed by Trent Boult after scoring one run while chasing the target of 229 runs. However, Sai Sudarshan and Washington Sundar kept the team’s hopes alive by sharing 84 runs, but after the dismissal of both these batsmen, Gujarat could not achieve the target and its journey ended.
Now will face Punjab
Mumbai defeated Gujarat by 20 runs in this match. With this win, the team led by Hardik Pandya has reached Qualifier-2. Now it will face Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad on June 1. In this match, the opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Jonny Bairstow gave Mumbai a quick start. There was a partnership of 84 runs between the two for the first wicket. Rohit Sharma completed his half-century in 28 balls. Apart from this, he also completed 300 sixes in IPL. He became the first active player to touch the figure of 300 sixes in IPL. Not only this, Rohit also completed seven thousand runs in IPL. He is the second batsman to do so after Virat Kohli.
