According to the official notification, Singh was serving as Administrative Officer-2 in the Punjab Civil Secretariat-2 (Mini Secretariat), Chandigarh, before being elevated to the higher post. Officials in the Secretariat noted that Singh has been associated with a number of important administrative assignments during his career and has consistently demonstrated efficiency in handling responsibilities. His elevation to the Under Secretary rank, they said, reflects both his seniority and his performance within the service.
