Harpreet Singh Among 12 IPS Officers Promoted to DIG in Punjab

Chandigarh, Jan 2: The Punjab government has approved a major reshuffle in the state police, promoting 12 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG). The move is aimed at strengthening leadership and enhancing administrative efficiency across the state’s police divisions.

  • Dhruv Dahiya
  • Sandeep Kumar Garg
  • Gulneet Singh Khurana
  • Akhil Chaudhary
  • Amneet Kondal
  • Gurpreet Singh
  • Rupinder Singh
  • Sarabjit Singh
  • Harpreet Singh Jaggi

 

These officers have served in various roles across Punjab and other states. Their elevation recognizes years of service, experience, and contributions to maintaining law and order.

Senior officials said the promotions form part of ongoing efforts to uphold high standards of policing and leadership within the state police force. The newly appointed DIGs will now take charge of key districts and divisions, applying their expertise to strategic policing areas.

The Punjab government said that such promotions not only reward merit and dedication but also aim to motivate officers and ensure effective governance in law enforcement.
