Hansi, August 15: Haryana marked the 80th Independence Day with official celebrations across the state, led by Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh in Yamunanagar and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in Hansi. The solemn events paid tribute to the freedom fighters whose sacrifices secured the nation’s independence.
Addressing the gathering at Hansi after inspecting the ceremonial parade, Chief Minister Saini outlined a strategic roadmap for building a progressive and self-reliant state, emphasizing sustainable development, industrial growth, and civic welfare under the “Viksit Haryana” initiative.
“Our government is committed to transforming Haryana into a leading state across all development indices, ensuring that every citizen benefits from our growth trajectory,” Chief Minister Saini affirmed during his address. He added that the state’s progress remains directly linked to the hard work of its farmers, youth, and workers.
The celebrations featured energetic displays by students from various educational institutions, who presented physical training demonstrations and cultural performances representing the state’s heritage.
Simultaneously, Governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh unfurled the national flag in Yamunanagar, taking the salute and acknowledging the contributions of veterans and civic workers toward regional advancement. Senior officials and public representatives attended ceremonies held across all district headquarters.
