Haryana State Election Commission Orders Voter List Updates

Chandigarh, 18 December 2024: The Haryana State Election Commission has announced the updating of voter lists across wards in five Municipal Corporations, three Municipal Councils, and 26 Municipal Committees ahead of local elections.

A spokesperson for the commission detailed that the voter lists will be revised for the Municipal Corporations of Ambala, Faridabad, Gurugram, Manesar (Gurugram), and Sonipat, as well as the Municipal Councils of Ambala Sadar, Pataudi Jatauli Mandi, and Sirsa.

The distribution of electoral rolls and supplements prepared by the Election Commission of India will take place from December 9 to December 16, 2024.

Ward-wise electoral rolls for claims and objections will be published on December 17, 2024. Residents may submit claims and objections until December 23, 2024, which will be reviewed and resolved by the Revision Authority by December 27, 2024.

The final appeal process involves submissions to the Deputy Commissioner by December 31, 2024, with resolutions completed by January 3, 2025. The final voter lists are scheduled for publication on January 6, 2025, according to the spokesperson.
