Kaithal, Jan 16: The Haryana Special Task Force (STF) on Friday announced the arrest of four operatives linked to the notorious Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang. The suspects, all hailing from Mundri village in Kaithal, were reportedly found in possession of four foreign-made weapons and are allegedly tied to a string of international crimes.

Police identified the arrested individuals as Raman, Lokesh, Balraj alias Balram, and Ravinder Singh. The STF noted that Raman and Lokesh were intercepted on January 10, while Balram and Ravinder Singh were taken into custody on January 14 within the jurisdiction of the Pundri Police Station.

Investigations have revealed that the quartet was deeply involved in organized criminal activities in the United States. During questioning, the suspects confessed to the 2024 murder of gangster Sunil Yadav in California, an act previously claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. They were also implicated in an attack on gangster Harry Boxer in the US last year, which resulted in the death of an associate, Banwari Godara.

“Interpol and the competent authorities in the United States will be informed about the developments in this case to ensure sustained legal, investigative, and operational coordination,” the STF mentioned in an official statement.

The gang was reportedly active in operating extortion rackets across northern India, including Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, and Rajasthan. Officials directly said the group frequently orchestrated firing incidents targeting businessmen to instill fear and demand protection money.

Satheesh Balan, IG of Haryana STF, mentioned that the case has significant implications for both national and international security. “Close cooperation is essential for effective prosecution, further investigation, and prevention of cross-border criminal or anti-national activities,” he noted.
