Hoshiarpur, March 14: Dr Jaspal S, a distinguished artist from Hoshiarpur, has brought international recognition to Punjab through a series of high-profile global exhibitions and awards. His recent achievements include the Silver Award at the “Fresh Wave” All-India Online Art Exhibition 2025 and the prestigious ‘Kala Mitra’ Award 2026, marking a significant period of success for the academic and creator.

The artist’s work, which has traveled to galleries in Mexico, Brooklyn, and the Netherlands, was recently lauded for its intellectual depth. His award-winning collage, ‘Homage to Dali’, was specifically noted by jurors for its intricate surrealist composition. Beyond national boundaries, Dr Jaspal secured an Outstanding Artist Award at the “Art Coast” 8th Edition, further cementing his status in the international circuit.

An accomplished scholar with a PhD in Kushan Arts, Dr Jaspal maintained that his creative philosophy is deeply rooted in the balance between nature and humanity. He asserted that society must reconnect with its origins to rectify environmental imbalances. “We must take steps to undo the wrongdoings of man which have distorted the balances of mother earth,” the artist declared.

His portfolio frequently explores child psychology and the societal role of women, whom he describes as a “white sheet” that absorbs change while providing a foundation for growth. Having dedicated over thirty years to art education, Dr Jaspal stated that his goal is to use the expressive power of color as a metaphor for intellectual freedom.

Authorities in the art community affirmed that his synthesis of spiritual and sensual elements continues to inspire the next generation of artists. His biographical profile is currently featured in the National Lalit Kala Akademi and other major Indian art directories.
