Chandigarh/Amritsar, Mar 13: In a continued crackdown on drug traffickers, the Amritsar district administration demolished the house of alleged drug smuggler Ajay Kumar Billi on Wednesday as part of Punjab’s anti-drug campaign led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, who supervised the demolition, warned of strict action against those involved in illegal activities. “Five cases have been registered against Ajay Kumar, including charges under the NDPS Act. This should serve as a clear message—either reform or leave Punjab,” he stated.

The demolition was carried out using a JCB machine, with senior officials, including DCP Alam Vijay Singh and ADCP Vishaljit Singh, present at the site.

Bhullar reiterated the administration’s commitment to protecting Punjab’s youth from drug abuse. “This is not just about demolishing a house—it’s about dismantling the drug trade that threatens our future,” he mentioned.

The action reinforces the Punjab government’s resolve to eliminate drug trafficking and ensure a safer environment for its citizens.
