New Delhi, May 9 — The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed its final, intermediate, and post-qualification examinations that were slated to be held between May 9 and May 14, citing the prevailing tense and uncertain security situation in the country.
In a public announcement, the ICAI said, “In view of the security situation in the country, the remaining papers of Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and Post Qualification Course Examinations [International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT)] scheduled from May 9 to May 14, 2025, stand postponed.”
The institute has assured that revised dates will be notified in due course.
An ICAI official said that a total of 1,58,044 candidates were scheduled to appear during the now-postponed window — with 55,666 registered for the final exams and 1,02,378 for the intermediate level.
“This decision has been taken purely in the interest of student safety. Fresh dates will be shared soon,” the official added.
The postponement comes at a time when parts of the country are under heightened alert amid security-related developments, although ICAI has not specified any particular threat or region in its statement.
