Jogindra Group Announces ₹1,100 Crore Expansion in Punjab

Steel and renewable energy sectors to see major boost as industrial giant scales up operations

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 2: Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Sanjeev Arora stated on Wednesday that the Jogindra Group has committed a ₹1,100 crore investment toward expanding its industrial and green energy footprint in the state. The Minister affirmed that this move reflects a surge in investor confidence driven by the state’s business-friendly policies and progressive environment.

The investment is divided between two core sectors, with ₹700 crore allocated to the steel industry through Jogindra Castings and Vardhman Adarsh. Additionally, ₹400 crore is earmarked for renewable energy via Jogindra Green India. Arora noted that this infusion of capital is expected to increase the group’s annual turnover from ₹3,000 crore to ₹5,000 crore.

“The Jogindra Group’s employee strength will rise from 1,800 to 3,000, creating significant employment opportunities,” Arora declared. He further maintained that the group’s renewable energy capacity is set to grow from 37 MW to 120 MW as part of the transition toward sustainable production.

The Minister asserted that Mandi Gobindgarh is regaining its status as a primary growth engine for the state’s industrial economy. He stated that under the current administration, the region is seeing a shift toward modernization and cleaner production methods.

Arora maintained that the Punjab government remains dedicated to fostering an ecosystem that ensures ease of doing business. He affirmed that the state is increasingly seen as a preferred destination for both manufacturing and environmentally responsible investments.
