KK Yadav Among Three IAS Officers Reassigned

Chandigarh, April 11: The Punjab government on Friday issued fresh transfer and posting orders for three senior IAS officers, including KK Yadav, who had remained without a posting for over a month. Yadav has now been appointed as the Administrative Secretary of the Industries and Commerce and Investment Promotion Department.

Two other officers—DK Tiwari and Varun Roojam—also received new assignments. Tiwari has been posted as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Transport Department and given additional charge of the Parliamentary Affairs Department. Roojam, meanwhile, has been appointed as the Administrative Secretary of the Transport Department.

However, the reshuffle did not include posting orders for three senior IAS officers—Gurkirat Kirpal Singh, Puneet Goyal and Jitender Jorwal—who continue to remain without official assignments.

“The reassignments were part of a routine administrative process to streamline departmental functioning,” a senior official from the Department of Personnel said on condition of anonymity.

The latest reshuffle comes amid growing discussions within administrative circles regarding the prolonged absence of assignments for several senior officers.

“It’s concerning that officers of this level continue to wait for postings despite vacancies in key departments,” an officer noted.
