Mumbai, 23 November 2024: The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is poised to secure a resounding victory in Maharashtra, maintaining its grip on power.
With leads in at least 230 of the 288 assembly seats, the coalition, which includes the BJP, Shiv Sena, and the Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP, is well above the majority mark of 145. The BJP alone is ahead in more than 130 constituencies.
Meanwhile, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi, an alliance of the Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and the NCP faction led by Sharad Pawar, trails far behind, leading in only 53 seats.
