Sri Anandpur Sahib, Nov 25: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday joined the sangat to pray for the progress of the state and the prosperity of Punjabis during the 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

Both leaders participated in the Ardas performed after the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib at Gurdwara Baba Budha Dal Chauni, commemorating the supreme sacrifices of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and legendary Sikh martyrs Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Dayala Ji. They joined the congregation to express gratitude to the Guru and prayed for the welfare of all.
“It is a matter of great honour for us to serve during the events marking the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji,” Mann and Kejriwal said, addressing the congregation.

Speaking on the occasion, the leaders noted that Sikhism embodies a true model of socialism and secularism for the world. “Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is a lighthouse of universal brotherhood, secularism, and socialism for every human being,” they said.
Highlighting the legacy of sacrifice, they added, “Punjabis in general, and Sikhs in particular, have inherited a glorious heritage from the great Sikh Gurus, who taught them to fight against tyranny, oppression, and injustice.”
Mann and Kejriwal also stressed the government’s responsibility to preserve Punjab’s rich cultural heritage for future generations. “It was the ardent wish of millions across the globe that the 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji be observed on a scale befitting the unparalleled grandeur of the master’s supreme sacrifice. The state government has made humble efforts to ensure that the commemorative events are an occasion of a lifetime,” they noted, adding that the people of Punjab consider themselves fortunate to participate in this historic occasion.
