Chandigarh, Dec 8: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday met Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd Chairman Jung Won Joo in Seoul, South Korea, to discuss investment opportunities and potential collaborations.
Mann said Punjab is looking to “build a greener, more modern, and stronger future” with the support of international companies like Daewoo E&C. “Our government is committed to providing every possible facility to investors,” he said, adding that Punjab aims to create conditions that encourage long-term industrial growth.
Officials said the state government assured the company of full cooperation for its proposed investments. Jung also agreed to join the 6th Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit scheduled for 2026.
Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd is a major South Korean multinational firm known for large-scale infrastructure projects, including transport networks, industrial plants, smart cities, and energy developments.
The company operates across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe, and is considered one of South Korea’s most established global construction brands.
