Jagraon, October 17, 2025 — Thousands of fans, friends, family members, and prominent personalities gathered in Jagraon on Friday to attend the bhog ceremony of late Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda, who recently passed away in a tragic accident in Himachal Pradesh. His sudden death has left the music fraternity and admirers across the region in shock.
The ceremony saw the presence of several political figures, including Rajya Sabha MP Vikramjit Singh Sahni, Punjab Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, SR Kler, Mandeep Sidhu (brother of the late actor-activist Deep Sidhu), Amrik Aliwal, Lakha Sidhana, and philanthropist Anmol Kwatra.
Leading figures from the Punjabi music and entertainment industry were also present to pay their respects. Singers and artists such as Kulwinder Billa, Kanwar Grewal, Balkar Ankhila, Jasbir Jassi, Harbhajan Mann, Babu Singh Mann, Gagan Kokri, Ranjit Mani, Ranjit Bawa, Ammy Virk, Satinder Satti, Jass Bajwa, Pooran Chand Wadali, Gurdas Maan, Pammi Bai, and Satwinder Bitti attended the ceremony. Many of them were seen supporting the bereaved family and helping manage the large crowd.
The area surrounding the venue witnessed a serpentine queue of vehicles as fans and well-wishers arrived from across the region. Local authorities had put tight security measures in place to ensure the event proceeded smoothly amid the massive turnout.
