Shimla, July 27: Wet weather conditions are expected to persist across major parts of Himachal Pradesh following a yellow alert issued by the State Meteorological Centre for ten districts.
Regional weather forecasts indicate that Shimla, Kullu, Kangra, Mandi, Solan, Chamba, Sirmaur, and Lahaul & Spiti remain under caution for heavy localized precipitation during the day.
“Isolated locations within the alerted districts may experience brief spells of heavy rainfall, while remaining areas will observe largely dry conditions,” stated meteorologists in the daily summary.
Night temperatures across the hill state stayed close to seasonal norms, with Shimla recording 17.5°C, Dharamshala at 18.6°C, Manali at 19.5°C, and Mandi posting 24.7°C.
Kukumseri village in Lahaul and Spiti registered the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 12.8°C, while Paonta Sahib recorded the highest night temperature at 26°C.
Weather officials noted that while minimum temperatures will hover around normal, daytime maximum temperatures could see a marginal rise of 2°C to 3°C across lower and mid-hill zones.
