MLA Kulwant Singh Distributes ₹42 Lakh in Loan Waivers to 20 Beneficiaries

SAHIBZADA AJIT SINGH NAGAR, July 4: Offering a continued push towards social welfare, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh on Thursday distributed loan waiver certificates worth ₹42 lakh to 20 beneficiaries of the Mohali assembly constituency. The event was held at his office in Sector 79 under the aegis of the Punjab Scheduled Castes Land Development and Finance Corporation.

Among the beneficiaries were residents from across the constituency including Gurjit Singh, Raghveer Singh, Prem Singh (Saneta), Ajay Singh, Jagtar Singh, Ravinder Kaur, Gursewak Singh (listed twice), Lakhveer Singh, Badal Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Jagpal Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Sampuran Singh, Surjit Kaur, Karnail Singh, Tejinder Singh, Ravinder Singh, Surjit Singh, and Gurvinder Singh.

Speaking to the media, MLA Kulwant Singh said, “Today, 20 beneficiaries have received ₹42 lakh in loan waivers. So far, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, over ₹1.5 crore in loan waivers has been granted to beneficiaries in Mohali district, while across Punjab, this figure has reached ₹63 crore.”

He added that the Aam Aadmi Party government, led by CM Mann and guided by party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, is fulfilling its promises and guarantees made to the people. “We are providing permanent solutions to long-standing public issues, and our focus is on transforming Punjab into a prosperous and green state through progressive schemes,” said Singh.

Also present at the occasion were District Manager Avtar Singh, Assistant District Managers Budh Singh and Jagtar Singh, and clerk Tehal Singh.
