New Delhi, 12 October, 2024: Enrollment for the PM Internship Scheme began on Dussehra, offering financial support to around 10 million young people over the next five years.
According to inputs, each intern will receive a monthly allowance of Rs 5,000 and an additional Rs 6,000 after one year.
The scheme, announced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the 2024-25 budget, requires candidates to apply by October 25 on a government portal.
Over 100 companies have already signed up, with the government allocating Rs 800 crore for this pilot project.
