Moga, January 11, 2025: Residents of Moga district in Punjab are bracing for long power cuts over the next three days, potentially causing inconvenience ahead of Lohri celebrations.
The outages are scheduled daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from January 11 to January 13, impacting multiple areas.
According to Gurmeet Singh Gill, SDO at the Dharamkot Electricity Board, the power cuts will affect feeders connected to the 66 KV sub-stations at Kot Mohammad Khan and Lohgarh. Urban, A.P., and UPS feeders will remain non-operational due to chasing, lifting, and work along the National Highway.
Sunday’s power disruption is expected to pose particular challenges as it coincides with the weekly holiday, while Monday’s Lohri festival may see heightened inconvenience for residents preparing for celebrations.
Authorities have urged people to plan accordingly during this period of interrupted power supply.
