Patiala, 28 October 2024: Tragedy struck the village of Kotra Lahil as Mandeep Kaur, a 24-year-old mother, passed away just hours after the death of her three newborn sons.
The devastating news has left the family in deep shock and cast a wave of sorrow over the entire community.
Kaur had experienced breathing difficulties before her delivery on October 26, prompting her family to take her to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala. There, doctors performed an operation at around 7:30 p.m., and she gave birth to triplets.
Sadly, two of the infants were stillborn, and the third son survived only briefly, passing away after 4-5 minutes.
Approximately six hours later, Kaur herself succumbed at around 2 a.m., following complications after delivery.
Today, the community gathered at the village crematorium in Kotra to bid farewell to Kaur and her three sons.
Amandeep Singh, the village panch and Kaur’s relative, expressed deep sorrow, remembering her as a kind-hearted individual and noting the immense void her passing leaves for the family.
