MP Chadha Meets Vice President Radhakrishnan

New Delhi, Sept. 22 — Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha met Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan and extended his congratulations upon assuming office as the 15th Vice President of India and ex-officio Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.

Chadha also conveyed his best wishes to the Vice President on the occasion of Navratri. “I congratulated Shri Radhakrishnan on assuming this high office and wished him well as he begins this important chapter of public service,” Chadha said after the meeting.

The lawmaker noted that their discussions touched upon the smooth and effective functioning of the Rajya Sabha, key national issues, and pressing matters related to Punjab. While the conversation remained brief, Chadha underlined concerns specific to his home state.

Expressing optimism about the role of the Upper House, Chadha added, “I am confident that under Shri Radhakrishnan’s leadership, the Rajya Sabha will continue to uphold the highest standards of democratic deliberation and inclusivity.”

The meeting may mark one of the early interactions between the newly sworn-in Vice President and members of Parliament, underscoring the expectation of a cooperative and constructive legislative session ahead.
