Muktsar, April 27 — In a farmer-focused effort to streamline access to crucial agricultural information, the Muktsar District Agriculture Office has launched a dedicated YouTube channel, ‘Muktsar Kheti Suchnavan.’
The channel aims to provide easy-to-digest agricultural updates for farmers in the region, including weather forecasts, government schemes, modern farming techniques, available subsidies, and other essential information. Muktsar, the home district of Punjab Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, is the focal point for this initiative.
“This channel will act as a bridge between farmers and our office,” said Karanjeet Singh Gill, the Chief Agriculture Officer of Muktsar.
“Through videos, we will ensure that vital information reaches our farmers promptly, helping them adopt better practices and ultimately improve their yields and income.”
The channel’s content will be brief and straightforward, designed to be easily understood by farmers.
It will include regular updates and announcements about available schemes and registration guidelines.
Abhijeet Kaplish, the Deputy Commissioner, officially launched the channel, calling it a timely and much-needed resource for local farmers.
“This YouTube channel will become a trusted friend for farmers, helping them stay updated and earn more,” he said.
The initiative has sparked optimism among local farmers, who have long struggled with delayed access to vital information.
“We often miss important schemes or updates because we don’t get the information on time,” said Jaskaran Singh, a farmer from a nearby village.
“Now, with this channel, we hope there will be no need to make phone calls or visit the agriculture office for every little query,” echoed Manjit Singh, another local farmer.
The channel, aiming to reach a wider audience through accessible video content, is expected to transform how farmers in Muktsar interact with agricultural resources.
