Chandigarh, April 21 — Punjab Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Monday directed all recently transferred Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars to immediately assume charge at their new postings, warning that any delay or absenteeism would invite strict action.

“It has come to my notice that many officers have not yet joined their duties,” said Mundian. “All transferred Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars must report to their new postings without further delay.”

The Minister noted that the Aam Aadmi Party government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to delivering better administrative services, and any harassment of people in Revenue Department offices would not be tolerated.

“There will be no compromise when it comes to public services. I can check any revenue office from tomorrow, and if anyone is found absent, strict action will follow,” Mundian said. “Indiscipline will not be tolerated at any cost.”

He added that the recent reshuffle was part of the government’s ongoing reforms in the Revenue Department.
