Landran, Aug 28 — Under Officer (UO) Chetan, an NCC cadet and BCA student from Chandigarh College of Technology (CCT), CGC Landran, has earned distinction at the Inter Directorate Sports Shooting Competition (IDSSC-2025) held in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, from August 5 to 19.

Chetan secured his spot at the prestigious GV Mavlankar Shooting Championship by achieving the Minimum Qualification Score (MQS). This achievement, his second national-level success, reflects his discipline, consistency and sharp shooting skills.

The cadet has already participated in more than 20 NCC camps across the country, including the IDSSC-2024 in Tamil Nadu. Earlier this year, on March 5, he was awarded an Appreciation Certificate by Maj. Gen. J.S. Cheema, Additional Director General of NCC (Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and Chandigarh Directorate), at the NCC Group Headquarters, Patiala, for his contributions.

Campus Director Dr. Rajdeep Singh congratulated him, saying, “Chetan’s success is a matter of immense pride for the institution. His perseverance and dedication exemplify the spirit of NCC and inspire fellow cadets to pursue excellence.”

Expressing gratitude, Chetan said, “Representing my college and my unit at the national level has been an honour. This achievement is the result of consistent effort, guidance from my mentors and the opportunities provided by NCC and my institution, CGC Landran. I am committed to continuing this journey with the same determination and focus.”

Chetan’s latest accomplishment is being seen as a milestone for CCT-CGC Landran, its NCC unit and the directorate at large. It underscores how discipline, resilience and commitment foster leadership qualities among young cadets.
