Patna, October 31 — The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Friday unveiled its election manifesto for the upcoming Bihar assembly polls, pledging a vast employment and welfare plan that includes one crore jobs and the creation of one crore “Lakhpati Didis.”

Releasing the 69-page document at a press conference in Patna, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was joined by BJP president JP Nadda, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, and alliance leaders including Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Chirag Paswan.

Nadda said the manifesto aims to “transform Bihar into a self-reliant and progressive state.” He noted that the NDA’s vision focuses on both economic empowerment and social development. “We are committed to building an educated, employed, and prosperous Bihar,” he said.

The alliance promised metro train services in four additional cities, seven international airports, and seven new expressways to strengthen connectivity and attract investment. Ten new industrial parks are also planned to boost manufacturing and employment opportunities across the state.

Education and welfare found a central place in the manifesto, which guarantees free quality education from kindergarten to post-graduation and a monthly aid of ₹2,000 for Scheduled Caste students pursuing higher education.

Healthcare initiatives include the establishment of a world-class medicity, a medical college in every district, and continued free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh per family. The NDA also vowed to provide 50 lakh more pucca houses and ensure free ration distribution to eligible families.

Nitish Kumar said the party’s “track record of development and stability” will guide Bihar’s future if the NDA is voted back to power. “This manifesto reflects our understanding of the people’s needs,” he added.
