BENGALURU, Aug. 16 — Ola Electric unveiled a range of new electric vehicles, technologies and prototypes at its Sankalp 2025 event on India’s 79th Independence Day, positioning the company’s innovations as a step toward energy independence and leadership in the global EV sector.
The highlights included the company’s indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell, India’s first rare-earth-free Ferrite Motor, an AI-powered intelligence system called MoveOS 6, and a Gen 4 Platform designed to support two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, drones and humanoids.
“From our own 4680 Bharat Cell, Ferrite Motor, AI-powered MoveOS and Gen 4 platform—everything was imagined, engineered and built in India,” said Bhavish Aggarwal, founder and CEO of Ola Electric, in a post on X. “This is our vision to secure India’s energy sovereignty and make our nation a global leader in the energy and EV ecosystem.”
Among the most striking announcements was the Diamondhead electric motorcycle prototype, which Aggarwal described as a futuristic leap. “The Diamondhead is more than engineering, more than innovation. It is a step towards singularity—where man and machine merge, to reach a level neither could achieve alone,” he wrote. The company aims to launch the motorcycle in 2027 at a price under ₹5 lakh.
Ola also introduced the S1 Pro Sport scooter, designed with sport-oriented features including gas-charged rear suspension, retuned front forks, carbon-fiber detailing and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Deliveries are expected to begin in January 2026.
In addition, the automaker announced the integration of the 4680 Bharat Cell into its Roadster X+ and S1 Pro+ models, with deliveries slated for this year’s Navratri festival season.
Aggarwal said the new technologies reflect Ola’s commitment to self-reliance. “Sankalp 2025—with India Inside! This Sankalp was a showcase of products built with excellence, powered by vertical integration, and driven by technology created in India, ensuring complete supply chain sovereignty,” he wrote.
India has set a target of achieving 30 percent electric vehicle penetration by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2070, goals to which Ola Electric says its innovations are directly aligned.
