Pakistan Cannot Be Trusted: Raghav Chadha on Fresh Strikes

NEW DELHI, May 10— “Less than three hours, Pakistan has violated the ceasefire!” MP Raghav Chadha posted on social media Saturday night, reacting to fresh hostilities breaking out along the western front.

“Reports coming in from the western sector. Drone sighting reported in Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur and other parts of Punjab. Shelling and UAV activity continue in Jammu & Kashmir,” he added, calling Pakistan a rogue state that “can never be trusted.”

“Pakistan must stay within its limits, or from Kashi to Islamabad, the Ganga will flow, and the Indian tricolour will fly over Rawalpindi,” Chadha said in a video message.

“The world knows our principle — we never provoke, but once attacked, we never spare.”

He condemned Pakistan’s actions following the April 22 Pahalgam civilian killings, calling them a “blot on humanity.” He added:

“Instead of accepting its mistake, Pakistan had the audacity to threaten India… It forgot that the land of Buddha is also the land of Arjun and Bhim.”

“It doesn’t matter what religion we follow, what caste or political party we belong to — what matters is that we are Indians. We must all respond together if anyone dares to glance at our motherland.”

“We are proud of our air defence system — it’s crushing enemy missiles like mosquitoes.”

“We reminded them in 1971, 1984, and 1999 — but it seems Pakistan has a poor memory.”

“India is not just the land of Mahatma Gandhi, but of Bhagat Singh and Chandrashekhar Azad too.”

“This time, terrorism will be wiped out once and for all.”

Chadha also called on citizens to support soldiers and their families, naming servicewomen like Col. Sofiya Qureshi and Wg Cdr. Vyomika Singh as symbols of national pride.

“Words may fall short in these moments, but our resolve doesn’t,” he said.

The flare-up comes just hours after India and Pakistan announced a ceasefire agreement to halt cross-border hostilities following days of military escalation.

However, within hours, Pakistan launched a coordinated attack using artillery guns, armed drones, and missiles, targeting Indian positions across Punjab, Rajasthan, and Jammu & Kashmir, a senior government official confirmed.

Explosions rocked Jammu city, and projectiles were seen streaking across the sky. In Kashmir, multiple blasts were heard in Srinagar and northern districts. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah confirmed the development on X, writing, “Explosions have been heard across Srinagar.”

Drones were spotted over Nowshera, Sunderbani, and other forward areas, signaling a large-scale ceasefire violation across Jammu, Rajouri, and Poonch districts.

The Indian Army has yet to issue a formal response, though sources on the ground confirmed active retaliation.

In Punjab, drone activity triggered high alerts in Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, and Hoshiarpur. Authorities imposed a precautionary blackout in Ferozepur and Muktsar to prevent surveillance or targeting by UAVs.

The ceasefire, originally seen as a diplomatic breakthrough, now lies in ruins. “Terrorism will not go unpunished, and India’s resolve on terrorism remains firm,” said a senior official, reaffirming that all measures announced post the Pahalgam terror attack—including suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty—will stay in force.

As tensions escalate once more, India’s response remains resolute. “The world needs to see this,” Chadha wrote, underscoring growing calls for global attention to Pakistan’s repeated ceasefire violations.
