Pakistani Gangster Claims ‘Attack’ on Punjab YouTuber

Jalandhar, March 16 — A grenade-like object was hurled at the house of YouTuber Navdeep Sandhu, also known as Rozer Sandhu, in Jalandhar’s Raipur Rasoolpur village early Sunday.

Hours later, Pakistani gangster-turned-social media influencer Shehzad Bhatti claimed responsibility, alleging Sandhu had made objectionable remarks against Islam.

Bhatti, in a video, warned of “bigger action” if Sandhu was not arrested. He also claimed that gangsters Zeeshan Akhtar—accused in the Baba Siddique murder case—and US-based terrorist Happy Passia had assisted him in the act.

“If he survives, we will do it again,” Bhatti said, adding that he would reveal names and photos of others involved if authorities failed to act.

However, Jalandhar (Rural) police dismissed the claim, calling it a rivalry-driven attempt to generate online views. “No gangster is involved. This is just a ‘fame war’ between two YouTubers,” said Kartarpur DSP Surinder Pal.

A police team, led by SSP Gurmeet Singh, visited the scene and launched an investigation. DIG Jalandhar Range Naveen Singla clarified that the object thrown was not a grenade and that forensic tests were being conducted.

“There was no blast. It appears to be a professional rivalry between the two YouTubers. The case is under investigation,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sandhu released a video denying accusations of making anti-Islamic remarks and claimed the attack was staged for publicity. Police said an FIR would be registered after recording his statement.
